Located in the heart of Burbank at 102 E Magnolia Blvd, Flappers Comedy Club & Restaurant offers an unforgettable blend of sharp humor and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back for more. Specializing as a comedy club, Flappers stands out as a vibrant hub for laughter, great entertainment, and a cozy spot to enjoy casual dining alongside top-notch stand-up.
Step inside and you’ll immediately notice the intimate charm that defines Flappers. As customer Meg Aghamyan fondly shared, the atmosphere is not only cozy but also sprinkled with quirky, memorable touches—like their creatively arranged restrooms—that add to the venue’s distinctive personality. This blend of comfort and character creates a perfect setting that makes every show feel personal and engaging.
What truly sets Flappers apart is how it combines a dynamic comedy experience with thoughtful dining options. Shanelle S described her Sunday night visit perfectly: “a restaurant/bar with stand-up comedy shows” where a two-item minimum per person—covering both food and drinks—means you can savor tasty offerings while enjoying a lineup of diverse comics performing short sets. Whether you’re craving something indulgent like their cheesecake or a rich brownie sundae, the menu moves quickly from kitchen to table, ensuring your taste buds are as satisfied as your sense of humor.
While some visitors, such as Sapir Regev, found the food to be a good, comforting accompaniment rather than a culinary highlight, the friendly staff and broad beverage selection enhance the overall experience. It’s clear that for most patrons, the food serves to complement the live comedy, with the spotlight squarely on the performers delivering laughs night after night.
Special events like the Halloween-themed “Dead Comedians Show” add an exciting twist to the lineup. Michael J Herman’s vivid recollection of the evening describes an electric room buzzing with laughter, standout acts like JeffersinBlack’s hilarious “Dr. Smith Lost in Space” routine, and enthusiastic crowds making the most of their night—albeit with some minor hiccups on drink service. Such events showcase Flappers' ability to create unique, lively experiences that leave audiences smiling long after the final joke.
Regulars like Isabel Yanes highlight the club’s knack for hosting authentic talent, such as Hal Spark, whose spontaneous wit and range of accents bring fresh, unscripted energy to the stage. With easy parking nearby and a commitment to a warm, inclusive vibe, Flappers offers more than just a night out — it’s a place where great comedy and approachable dining intersect, creating memorable evenings for locals and visitors alike.
Whether you’re looking for a reliable spot to catch emerging comedians, a laugh-filled date night, or a casual gathering with friends, Flappers Comedy Club & Restaurant is a standout destination in Burbank. Its unique blend of humor, hospitality, and responsive service ensures every visit is not just attended but truly experienced.
I love the atmosphere and the cozyness of this place! If you've been there you know the restroom situation, it was hilarious to me, very creative.
Restaurant/bar with stand up comedy shows. Came here for a show on a Sunday night and enjoyed watching various comics perform short sets. There’s a two item minimum per person but it includes drinks and food. They even have tea and hot cocoa, so my boyfriend and I essentially had a nice dessert and show. We tried the cheesecake and the brownie sundae. The food and drinks came out quickly and you can pay by scanning the QR code. Free parking is available at the Ashley Furniture Lot as well as at the garage.
If was a really nice time. The staff is very friendly, the comedians all did great performances, the menu has a large selection of food and becerages. The food was ok, and hit the spot but I can't say it was a great meal which is why I gave 4 srars. That being said, I didn't come here for the food, so it's definitely not critical and I would go again.
Halloween was fun. The Dead Comedians Show was fire. So many funny comics. A few lousy ones, but all the rest were great. @JeffersinBlack who did a whole Dr. Smith Lost I Space routine that was side splitting! It was a small room, but the laughter was so loud. I will say that I was annoyed that drinks were never served to our entire audience. Because there was no admission fee if you wore a costume, I was still thirsty and I would have ordered some food. But no one ever came by to ask. Flippers is 1 of LAs best comedy clubs.
I love coming here for a good laugh and surprisingly delicious food! We snagged 4 free tickets to Hal Spark’s monthly Friday night show and I highly recommend his show specifically for his wit and authenticity. He doesn’t prepare anything ahead of time, but rather let’s his creativity and his many characters with various accents guide the set. There’s always plenty of free parking in the nearby parking garages and there’s both indoor and outdoor seating to hang out in before your show. Similar to most comedy clubs, they require you order a minimum of two items from their kitchen or bar. You can order at the bar area or at your table in the stage room using the QR code in your section. Our group ordered a few items and all of them were tasty! The Argentine Steak Pizza had a well-baked, fluffy crust with a nice char, stringy cheese, seasoned meat that wasn’t overcooked and a banging chimichurri sauce that added intense flavor to every bite. The Vegan Artichoke “Wings” were super crispy without being too oily and the tatar-esk sauce on the sauce complimented the spiciness really well. The Mushroom Swiss Burger was cooked perfectly, with a hot pink center, nicely seasoned toppings and a buttered and toasted bun, albeit was a bit more oily than the other dishes. Fries were also crispy and not over salted with a good portion of ketchup. Lastly I got a hot chocolate that was more decadent than expected, with a giant portion of whipped cream on top and chocolate syrup all over.
Very intimate setting with great energy & stand up comedians (at least 4-5 ) per show. Flappers is a fun experience for all. Sitting in front is likely to make you a part of the show... if you don't mind. I enjoy the food here too which is quite tasty,... I've had the baked brie and fruit plate which was delicious. I prefer not ordering with my phone which is change from my past visits. Some of the comedians are really amazing, and a few just don't get many laughs but overall it makes for a worthwhile evening of entertainment for a reasonable price.
